So 2% no string
£1000 no strings
3.5% for just agreeing to to talk about/explore 7 day resourcing.
Christ Unite are idiots!!
Assuming COMs are on £40k, that £1k equates to about 2.5% of pay.
There’ll be managers on more than that but it’s flat £1k so proportionally less as a percentage. Also it’s not in perpetuity so you don’t it’s benefit from future pay rises, pension contributions, VR pay etc.
So technically not a pay rise.
I think was it Rolls Royce staff got offered similar large lump sum too. It’s what a lot of employers have done this year (certainly not all), go for a flat one-off payment.
5.5% and £1000 to be sold out for 7 day working week.
I wonder if all those managers who were so happy to be taking on the CWU will be as happy now they're about to be shafted with weekends.
Not a bad deal really. Don't know why people are so hung up on having to work the occasional Sunday? It's not as if we work mon-fri bow is it? So if you work a Sunday a month, big deal, you get another day in the week off.
No idea but if you are a priest, pastor, senior pastor, assistant pastor, minister, rector, associate rector, elder, director, deacon, youth pastor, or a choir and music director in a church it may be a bit of an inconvenience.
Compulsory Sunday working is the uncrossable line for most in our office. 95% of us are up to and over time every day so annualised hours/SISO is only feared by a limited few people. Commit to deliver is a red herring.
If RM abolish finish times, you won't be "over your time". You won't have a finish time.
Your manager will tell you how many hours are clocked, no matter how long it actually takes you.
It's not a red herring, it's what RM want, it's there in black and white.
I think we all realise that Sunday working is what the business needs but everyone is refusing it completely. I don't see the problem in working 1 Sunday out of 5 weeks as already mentioned here as long as its legally binding. To just outright refuse to budge on it is unrealistic

Or a parent who relishes the idea of having just one day of the week where they don't have to check their rota/calendar when invited out by friends and family....

Yeah my Mrs works three days a week one being a Sunday has done for 20 years that was the case because of the kids I'm lucky my kids are old enough to fend for themselves other people not so lucky.she works the Sunday because I don't.
if rejected it would be interesting to see if the unions would merge in planning further IA, our cons are quite happy doing opg works on our strike days and pretty spineless so i fully expect them to vote yes on the offer
People keep mentioning 'legally binding'. The last agreement was legally binding and they've just completely disregarded it, without recourse.
They've disregarded it because of the no-strike clause which means they can serve notice on it in the event of national scale industrial action. If they were doing something illegal I'm pretty sure the CWU would be all over it.
