How long are 1st class parcels taking?

Post by Drecmon »

Given the strikes and any other situation that could cause delays, how long should I expect to wait for a 1st class parcel? Not too fussed honestly, as it’s work related which means I can put off some of my work for the time being 😉.

Thanks x

There is no hard and fast rule. It could go through in 1 Day like normal. But if it becomes part of a backlog in could take a week.

The general idea is that mail can only fail once so just after strike days new mail will be prioritised and the backlog will be left until there is capacity in the system to sort it. The reason being is its cheaper to process new mail, rather than delay it and cause more complaints and compensation claims.

Thanks buddy. Probably part of the backlog then as this was sent the day before the last strike. Cheers :)
