Lost items at Warrington MC

Post by paulatschy »

Hi all! I need help and advice... I don't live in the UK, two international letters were sent to Skem on my behalf (first one two months ago, second one half month ago) and they went missing between Warrington MC and Skelmersdale DO (according to the RM tracking website, they are still "in transit"). Is it actually possible, that they arrived at Skem DO, but tracking system doesn't see it? RM support on Twitter says it's impossible to locate them until delivery is attempted and suggest complaint in country of origin... But this won't help me 😕 these are extremely important items and actually the most important here is not delivery itself, but attemption... Since they are in purgatory my hands are tied. Thanks for any help...

If it is Skelmersdale, I guess it is going to HMRC, DWP or similar? So might be the old problem of places which receive very large volumes of mail.

And also to point out that this isn’t the only active thread on this forum relating to problems at Warrington MC.

Thanks, what do you mean it's going to HMRC or DWP, why would? These are letters for private person living in Skem (legal matters). And thanks for the point, I will check other threads, I've just found this forum and actually wasn't quite sure if it's "alive", I'm really desperately looking for informations what might have happened to these letters, it's actually the first forum I've signed in ever in my life..

Have they been delivered? I’m facing a similar issue, seems Warrington MC is where parcels go to disappear. I saw online, a seller also had 3 parcels disappear at that MC.

No, they haven't... With first one parcel app shows me this: "This is the final status. Carrier doesn't provide further tracking updates." Second one is still "in transit". I'm devastated, I can't finish the case in court until there is an attempt to deliver...

Oh dear, RM has changed and not for the better. 2 of my special deliveries are in purgatory in 2 different MCs and unfortunately you won’t get any help here. I know it doesn’t help with your missing parcels, but avoid RM for sending anything important.

Just to clarify we do state that we cannot help physically, all we can do is offer insights and advice. We are not an official site so we cannot actually provide anything beyond that,

Thank you for the advice... Unfortunately, courts in Poland must send their correspondence obligatorily via Poczta Polska and Royal Mail (possibly via the Consulate General, but this option has been disabled in this case). I understand that in this situation I am practically unable to do anything? I will ask the court to consider the complaint, unfortunately it will not help much in this situation... Back in March and before there were no problems with delivery :/

Yeah, I get that but it’s not just on here… RM help on Twitter is just as useless and calling RM CS line several times got me nowhere, have been hang up on more times than I can count. I haven’t received any meaningful assistance from any official/ unofficial RM channels. 2 months on, I’ve still not received my 2 SD parcels. My advice to avoid RM for important stuff stands.

if the RMCs weren't any good you may wish to escalate your issue https://www.royalmail.com/sites/default ... G_2019.pdf this guide shows you the stages you need to follow. In your case, I would push it as far as I could. 1 SD lost is bad, 2 is symptomatic of major issues and they should be highlighted
