Don't listen to the snake.

You'll find many people with kids have a strong resolve, they are not only fighting for their livelihood but their children's future. To give in is to submit them to a totalitarian dystopia, this is more than a Royal Mail strike.
Eh up another one! How ya doing mate! Red pilled up yeah? Good on ya mate see you on the other side, everyone in here all bamboozled by one crisis after the next, no pattern to it, just all random events, no plan or anything, no no just coincidences! Til they own nothing and be happy! Good luck to ya mate.
OK I'll bite. Who is in charge of the secret "planning", who are the footsoldiers carrying the secret "plan" out without letting on, and why do they want to do it?

Specifics please. Don't tell me to "do my own research" or any of that bollocks.
Ok. David Rockerfeller starts up Trilateral Commission, fronted up by Zbigniew Brzezinski and Henry Kissinger. Henry Kissinger puts up Klaus Schwab as top dog at World Economic Forum. WEF tasked with bringing in UBI, CBDCs, and an end to private ownership.

WEF coordinate national economic policy through its young global leaders program, notable figures include Jacinda Ardern, Justin Trudeau, Joe Biden, Boris Johnson, Ursula Von Der Leyen, amongst others. For your purposes you can assume anyone you’ve heard use the phrase “build back better” is owned or “aligned” with WEF.

Specific enough?

Pensions
Attendance patterns
Annual leave
Sick pay
Start times
Sunday’s
Allowances
IHR
Redundancy

The list above is not exhaustive. I cannot believe people are willing to give these things up so meekly.😞😞

If we take all the action that has been announced in financial terms it’s about a £1500 loss of pay. Imagine slipping on delivery and breaking your ankle that puts you on the sick for 10 weeks, if we lose this dispute RM will have you on statutory sick pay (£90 ish PW) which means in that 10 wk period alone you would be around £3000 down from what you would receive currently.

Me and my wife both work for RM, we have 3 kid’s and a mortgage and undoubtedly the strikes will be very difficult financially and mentally but it has to be done.

Across our branch/area the strike is 100% solid. Striking is our only chance to save our hard fought, over generations, T&Cs and dignity in the workplace.

It’s a fight we may lose but if we don’t fight we will definitely lose.✊✊✊
I thought SSP was only for the first week of any absence after your first.
OMG! Where did the poster get this information about losses mentioned above.

This is disinformation and it helps no one - please read the information provided; it is all over this forum and on RMTV and a summary sent to us.

Accident at work is not going to change - if they want to do that; the Union can come in to stop it or even use their lawyers.

You only lose 1 week and depending on your illness, you can still be off with pay on a long-term basis. In fact, if one is willing to lose a week's pay like we are doing for the strikes, you can go for weeks instead of just 1 or 2 days...

Pensions, IHR, Redundancy and Annual Leave - what is the deal with those?

* Not all allowances are going!

I think this ends just in time for the 2023 pay negations.

Yes the het death of the universe now looks inevitable, that's when everything everywhere ceases to exist.
But I wouldn't worry about it, it's not scheduled for another 10x1076 years.

I asked before and never got an answer, but if the union are taking 10 million pounds a year in subs, why can’t we have a strike fund?
Do you own a calculator?
I did a quick calculation based on the 2.60 per week I pay, 80,000 x :2.60 is 208,000 x 52 = 10.8 million per year and we haven’t been on strike for 13 years? If I’m way off track here, I hold my hands up

You all ask how does it all end and yet you are absolutely clueless as to what is driving economic policy.

Absolutely NO WAY a CEO of a big firm like ours doesn’t know which way things are headed. They’re less interested in Love Island and football.

It’s going to be interesting to see how far things get before the normies realise the crazies were right.

Honestly mate. The people who fill your head with this paranoid crud do not have your best interests at heart. They're not on your side, they're preying on vulnerable people. It's a grift.

When things are bleak it's sometimes more comfortable to believe that the people in charge are working to some kind of masterplan. The truth is much more boring and scary - they're just ordinary people who got a lucky roll of a dice. They're no better than you or I. They're not evil geniuses, they're blagging it, just like the rest of us.

That's the last I'll say on this. I honestly hope you get out of this dark rabbit hole you're in, you'll feel a lot happier for it.
That's the thing with conspiracy theories, like Covid, when it was all a plot cooked up between governments and Bill Gates to sell vaccines. People want to believe it, because it means ultimately somebody somewhere has control and one day if they really want to our overlords will just stop doing whatever bad they're doing. People are comforted by the thought somebody somewhere is in control. It's identical to religion, but that stems from the natural fear of death. Whatever God it is controls everything, and if behave a certain way there's a reward at the end of life.

12 weeks "If your employer has attempted to settle the strike".

What exactly counts as an attempt to settle?

Is this why Slithering Simon brought up the ACAS thing?
"an attempt to settle" is subjectively defined. I tell you what doesn't count as an attempt to settle >> tearing up all previous negotiated agreements

That's what many of us are wondering. All gone very quiet. Been a week now since the apparent zoom meeting and that's the last we heard. An update either way would suffice.
