How would I go about stopping my subs?
Why would you want out of the union now? When these changes come in, you will likely need them more than ever.
I'm not leaving now, after the vote. I just want to know how to go about it.
I'd rather take my chances with not being in the CWU.
I'm not giving them any more of my hard earned money!
When you send in your ballot paper, also send a note to your local branch secretary informing them that you have resigned from the union and send a letter to RM payroll instructing them to cease deducting CWU union subscriptions.

There's an online meeting tomorrow night at 7pm about campaigning for a "no" vote. Postie speaking about the deal and NHS campaigner speaking about how they won their "no" vote.

Isn't the NHS funded by the tax payer though.

A chance to stop this company free falling towards the gig economy?

To be fair though we all knew that the company would go t*ts up years ago and here we are with the company recruiting staff on less pay, terms and conditions. Not good for anybody who wants a future in the company.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Even the profit share scheme is awful

The two sides have also agreed on a profit-share agreement: assuming Royal Mail makes an adjusted operating profit in any financial year up to 2024-25, a fifth of those profits will be handed out as a one-off payment to employees, to be paid after publication of the company’s accounts.

We're not making any profit before then, probably not for a good while after either.
The older generation on here will remember the share in success Scheme, which, when it was due to pay out it was then decided Royal mail had made no Money after three years of making profits. All profits disappeared miraculously
Would say so but whats your point yes or no.
If I had a vote it would be a no but I left RM in 2015 on a VR so it doesn’t matter what the vote result is. My point in the previous post was RM are not to be trusted with offers of hardship now for rewards later. Good luck with your fight you will need it.

Worst deal ever for delivery. Nobody else in the business gets shafted like we do. Definitely a no vote from me. Who else will have to flex hours?

You hit the nail on the head! Most of the posties are living in cloud cuckoo land. Royal Mail has just posted almost 1 billion loss, and this bunch of lunatics think they deserve a better deal. I know this is not the perfect deal. However, given the Royal Mail's dire financial situation, I would happily vote "yes". I don't think Dave and Andy would have backed this deal if they knew they could extract a better deal under the current situation.
