Missing expensive parcel

Post by jane0o0 »

Please help I'm absolutely worried sick about a parcel I posted by Royal Mail Special Delivery on Monday. it failed to show up Tuesday so I got on to them and they said it would be with customer today. still hasn't turned up. this is a very expensive item and I just don't know what to do.

I'm getting no help from Royal Mail at all and the tracking online hasn't changed since last night.

This is what is says and its not changed since last night.

I think the problem here is that it was put on the wrong lorry. This happens. It is almost always corrected the next working day but obviously not in this case. It's pretty likely to be delivered tomorrow.

You already qualify for some compensation. Was it goods, cash / jewellery or paperwork?

As a minimum, you are entitled to claim the cost of sending.

If it should get lost you can claim at least £500 for it: being able to claim more depends on whether you purchased the extra cover at the time of sending.
