Lost or stolen package

Post by Jimitodd »

I have bought a fancy dress costume from china on 26th oct. it arrived at Heathrow warehouse distribution centre on 28th oct. tracking number. RB753799895CN.
It has been received opened an checked by Royal Mail then.

Here goes.

I contacted Royal Mail who advised calling customs.
I contacted customs who advised calling Royal Mail, after mentioning they sent me to customs advised trying HWDC.
Hwdc advised contacting Royal Mail again as the package isn't on their system.
Royal Mail have advised contacting china mail who originally sent it.
China mail have said they passed the package onto Royal Mail so they need to deal with it.
Royal Mail said the sender needs to submit a claim. The sender says the parcel has reached the UK so it's a Royal Mail issue.
Royal Mail will only let the sender submit a claim.

Surely when the parcel was scanned the person or the location of the parcel is logged on a system somewhere.
How can a three foot tall parcel go missing. :thumbdown

Now what!!!!!

You need to get the sender to resolve the situation, your contract is between you and him, his contract is with him and china mail, he needs to submit a claim to them(just the same as if someone sent the parcel from here to china and it went missing in china they would claim royal mail)

its the senders responsibility to make sure it gets to you, not yours to chase up the delivery service he has chosen

Thats great, as the sender couldn't give a rats.

Can you do me a favour, if anyone sees a postal worker dressed as Dave the Minion from Despicible Me,
can you kick him in the balls and call him a thief.

Merry Christmas Royal Mail

you will probably find its not actually been sent, we get a lot of problems where by senders give out the same tracking number when the send multiple parcels, and then jut sit there claim they have sent it and dont take responsibility for fixing the situation,

yes things do get stolen but its pretty rare and the offenders are caught quickly, but there are far more unscrupulous sellers out there
