Hi there
I sent my familys christmas parcel by special delivery 1pm last Thursday from St Andrews Post Office to go to the Isle of Wight. Large heavy box. Tracking shows that it left Edinburgh Mail Centre on the Thursday and on its way to Southampton Mail Centre. No update on tracking since then just says it is still in transit. Never had any problems before. Would anyone be able to help? Do you think Royal Mail still have it and will arrive or gone lost / stolen? Thank you.

I would be very doubtful that it's been stolen.
Does the Isle of Wight post and parcels now get there via boat from Southampton ?

Yes they will do, but the tracking says it has not been scanned into Southampton MC yet. Last update was last Thursday to say it was in transit to the Southampton MC. So what else could have happened?

No way it should take this long - I would get a claim in, sometimes that helps "release" it, but not always.
