Change delivery options - collecting at post office

Hi all,
I recently bought some glasses online and didn’t realise the address had defaulted to go to my old uni house address which is in another city. I changed the delivery options to collect from the post office in that city so I can collect it on the weekend and make a day trip out of it.

However, I just want to clarify please - will it just be delivered only to that post office straight away or will it first try attempt the delivery at the house and only go to the post office if no one is in?
I thought and was hoping the former (based on what I read on the site about being able to change ‘when and where it will be delivered https://www.royalmail.com/receiving/cha ... ry-options) but the wording when I changed it makes me think it could be the latter:

Email when I changed it:
“ As requested, if no one’s home, we’ll arrange a Redelivery to your chosen Post Office®, Bath, BA1 1RT on:

Wednesday 9 November 2022*.

We'll let you know when it's ready to be collected. ”

On their tracking site:
“ As requested, if we can't deliver
your item, we'll arrange a
Redelivery to your chosen Post
Office®on 09-11-2022”

If its a
(1) tracked or special delivery item,
(2) and you request it go to the post office before it gets to the delivery office
it should get sent straight to the post office.
