Hi, I posted a parcel to myself in Dublin, Ireland when on a few days in London at weekend.
Apparently item has been refused by Irish customs ( not sure why but possibly form not filled out correctly)
As we dont live in UK RTS address was listed as an Irish address.
So where will my item end up in the Parcelforce network in UK?
If I can locate it I'll fly over again and get it...
TIA

I don't know if the PF National Hub uses a machine to sort parcels but if it does, I'm guessing that it'll get sorted back to Ireland as it'll probably be deemed to not be for the UK

You probably need to try an official site to get a definitive answer (twitter @royalmailhelp) but if Irish Customs has refused it, and the return address is in Ireland my understanding would be that the item would be stored unless someone in the UK could claim it, but if no one does it will likely be destroyed at some point.DCSF wrote: ↑19 Oct 2022, 15:27Hi, I posted a parcel to myself in Dublin, Ireland when on a few days in London at weekend.

My advice would be to put in a claim, provide a UK address (NI would probably be best) and then collect if from that address if it is successfully sent there. I would suggest putting in a claim form ASAP. https://personal.help.royalmail.com/app ... ims-centre is an official guide.

What's the tracking number so we can see what the timings were between when it was originally dispatched to Ireland and when Irish customs refused it

Having a quick look I'm wondering if it's actually stuck in UK customs

Re: Return to Sender from Ireland, in UK
No mention on the tracking of it having been through customs, which makes me think that PF have got it wrong. Based on their website I believe that every item that they deliver from outside the UK gets handed over to customs and is scanned when they do so
