Hi,
i have been told if you live in an area that hasn’t had post for a few weeks you can go to your local sorting office where you would usually pick up your parcels with a proof of address to receive any backlog. just wondering if this is true?

Re: Is this true??
I've been doing the that, our post went to 1 or 2 days a week then stopped a couple of weeks ago. Just took my driving licence. But they have stopped even sorting our mail now, so there is no way to get it. Idk what to do in that situation. RM don't really respond to complaints in my experience... I'm going to have to get a local counsellor to tweet Rm CEO or something. There will be people missing appointments, I don't want to miss anything urgent, like a vaccination letter. It's a really bad situation.
Queue at the office was over an hour long too

You could try, but chances are they will refuse.
What do you mean no mail for 'a few weeks' that is pratically impossible, even in the present climate.
Is there something wrong where you live, dodgy flats, dog owner ect.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
