As a customer I am wondering if there is scope for later collections for outgoing mail at post boxes adjacent to mail centres.
In my experience most are around 19:30 on weekdays and 13:00 on Saturdays. However as we know mail centres serve large areas and the final collections from their outlying areas are often around the same time. That mail then needs to be moved to the mail centre for processing often more than an hour away. Would there not be scope for having later collections from mail centres and still enable items to be processed in time to meet dispatches to the rest of the country?
