What am I entitled to?

Post by adamlpullen »

Hi there,

I run a small business, I ship tracked parcels to USA and other international countries.
Over the last 3 months I've had around 8 parcels go missing, I've then either sent my customer a new product or refunded them, because their item was over 30-40 days late.

I've then filled out a lost item compensation form, and I've been told that the items have been delivered - but over 4 weeks late.

I'm just wondering if i'm entitled to any sort of refund off Royal Mail because the items were so late? As I have ended up loosing a lot of money.

Thanks,
Adam

If they don’t arrive after 5 weeks then you are entitled to compensation.

Are you saying that you applied for compensation when more than 5 weeks had passed, but between the application and RM replying to it, the item was delivered?

Thanks for replying and your time.
I have applied for compensation for a few parcels, but I have received one letter back so far.

I posted it on the 25th March, and it got delivered on the 18th June - taking almost 3 months to arrive.
I applied for compensation, and all they have told me is that it has arrived, and they apologized for 'the problem that i've had.

Do you know if I have to fill out a different form?

Thanks,
Adam

The forms you should use are P58inland or P58international, depending on the destination.
