Item stuck at HWDC Langley
My item has been in HWDC Langley since May 27... that's 25 days. It was sent through priority mail and was supposed to reach the recipient on May 20th the latest. Can anyone tell me what my chances are at the item reaching the recipient? All that was inside was a flat key and a note attached to the key. It was sent from within the EU. Is there any way of contacting HWDC or anyone else who might be able to help? Or should I assume it's lost forever?

It is quite likely to get there. Plenty of examples on this website of parcels taking almost that long, e.g.:Sonia Wysocka wrote:My item has been in HWDC Langley since May 27... that's 25 days. No, customs are a law enforcement agency and do not take calls from customers.Sonia Wysocka wrote:Is there any way of contacting HWDC or anyone else who might be able to help?

Hopefully, the item was packaged well. Keys vary in size and if it's a big one it can cause an issue in the parcel sorting process. Especially so if using a bubble envelope or just a normal envelope.
It may be worth calling Royal Mail customer service and explaining the issue, with no movement since it went into Customs there is a chance that the packaging was damaged.

Thank you for the reply. Thing is, RoyalMail phone wait times exceed an hour, and I live abroad - I can't afford a phone call like that. I would email them if I could but it conveniently isn't an option.
The key was wrapped in a tiny linen bag, and packaged in a bubble envelope.
Do you know any other way to contact Royal Mail?
