I'm a ex Postie I'm waiting for 3 large packets from England from the 2nd week of may (i'm in Scotland) , just a query like, i know it could be down to social distancing in the work place as all/most indoor Royal Mail work involves posties working on top of each other sorting mail

Hi Godric,
Was just wondering whether you'd received your parcels yet (i'm terribly sorry if not), I'm in a very similar situation and was just wondering if I can hope for it to arrive at all?
Stay safe and I hope your parcels arrive soon

That's so disappointing and not very reassuring for the rest of us waiting parcels to be delivered The parcel I sent was dropped off at the post office on 6th May and the tracking hasn't updated since the 7th (still stuck at London MC) for over a month.

Hi,
Thank you so much for your response, and I'm sorry that you needed to get a replacement. And Sherry, Im in the same boat, just going to have fingers crossed and hope it arrives - assuming its stuck at Heathrow on its way out - as its highly sentimental. I think all we can do is hope for the moment, the parcels will be somewhere in the system.

Leaves me to think it's sitting in customs without even being scanned yet wtf is going on nearly a month sitting in customs without being scanned and the fact it's a internationally registered package from the EU

Yes, it looks like it is stuck in customs. Lots of other people reporting items spending a month or more in customs, with the delays gradually getting worse as the Covid-19 situation has gone on. Those items would be international registered or similar, if they weren't we wouldn't have the tracking that we have.

Customs don't scan anything, I wouldn't expect that they even have scanning equipment.

EU items have always been subject to checks for banned items (e.g. tobacco). This applied even when we were members of the EU.
