Hi,
I sent an item from longton delivery office via royal mail 24 tracked signed and tracking is below. I do not understand why it is the wrong delivery office as the 24 tracked i was told i had to send from the delivery office but also it seems tracking is not updating.I understand it was only sent yesterday but i want to try and make sure i find out the issue to try and make sure it does not happen again.

Can anyone guess what has happened on this tracking ?
There is probably no issue, it looks like a case of human error using the wrong scanning code at the delivery office.
It will now be within the system and will be moving through it, albeit slowly at present because of the pandemic.
Basically, the fact that it was scanned wrong, and that it's not showing another scan YET, are both because the system is struggling to cope, we have fewer people doing the job, difficulties doing the job (distancing), and people doing jobs that they are not fully trained up to do.
I am afraid its a case of watching the tracking of it and being patient as well. It will be delivered eventually as 99.9999% of items usually are.

I have no concerns about the time it takes as currently i think many people have unrealistic expectations of the royal mail if i am honest and they are doing great job. I was just confused why they said i sent it from the wrong place more than anything and why the tracking looked weird.
