Fingerless gloves are what I use, as do some other posties I work with. Of course the exposed fingers will still get cold, but I find having full-finger gloves a bit too fiddly, and you'll need your fingers to tap on your PDA.

The better fingerless gloves are the ones with plastic knuckle protectors. Good for sliding the mail through those nasty, spring-loaded covered letter slots.

Here's one of them:

The only downsides: A bit tricky reaching into your pockets for anything like a pen or whatever. And they maybe great for protecting your knuckles, but they could be too hot to wear in summer.

Gogirl,

You might find this thread useful too, especially regarding touchscreen gloves.

I asked that question a while ago and there was a few recommendations for the sealskinz ones that have a forefinger and thumb that can fold back.

Sizing didn't suit me so ended up just cutting the end of those off a pair of cycling gloves I had, have been fine even when it was sub zero temps.

Hello!
I find it very useful to wear gloves with converter mitt. I cover my fingers when they are close to freezing and uncover if I need to use the PDA.
Hope this helps!
