Fingerless gloves are what I use, as do some other posties I work with. Of course the exposed fingers will still get cold, but I find having full-finger gloves a bit too fiddly, and you'll need your fingers to tap on your PDA.Gogirl wrote:Hi can anybody help, what are the best gloves to buy when working as a post woman.

The better fingerless gloves are the ones with plastic knuckle protectors. Good for sliding the mail through those nasty, spring-loaded covered letter slots.
Here's one of them:
The only downsides: A bit tricky reaching into your pockets for anything like a pen or whatever. And they maybe great for protecting your knuckles, but they could be too hot to wear in summer.

I asked that question a while ago and there was a few recommendations for the sealskinz ones that have a forefinger and thumb that can fold back.
Sizing didn't suit me so ended up just cutting the end of those off a pair of cycling gloves I had, have been fine even when it was sub zero temps.

Hello!
I find it very useful to wear gloves with converter mitt. I cover my fingers when they are close to freezing and uncover if I need to use the PDA.
Hope this helps!
