Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, Post Box Collections

Hello, is mail that is posted in post boxes picked up normally Xmas eve and new years eve, or is it like a Saturday? I have information from Royal Mail that just says Christmas Collections, New Years Collections for these dates, but no indication of what that means.

That means is like a Saturday.

Yes they will be collected, I think most if not all will be Saturday times.

Yes it would be like Saturday collections which means the boxes are emptied by the posties as they pass the postboxes while on delivery. There are no late afternoon/evening collections on Saturdays or days allocated a Saturday service.
All being well the item should be delivered on Friday 27th if destined for an address in the UK.
