“In transit - leaving originating country” for 4 days now?!

Post by Michelleofaith »

Hello, all. Would really appreciate someone’s help with this. Last Friday, someone posted a parcel to me from Romania. 1:16 pm in the afternoon UK time, 3:13 pm Romanian time. Monday at 22:33, tracking status was updated to read “in transit - leaving originating country.” Today, Friday morning, says the same thing. Could it be that parcel is going through customs in Romania? Does “leaving originating country” actually mean the parcel is on a plane? Or do they merely scan it through as "leaving originating country" when it is handed to customs in originating country? Similarly, could it be that parcel IS in fact in the UK but just hasn't cleared customs yet? Thus, will not have been registered as being in the UK? The parcel in question is a custom drawing I had done for my bf as a Xmas gift.. so getting quite anxious :(

P.S. tracking number RN834486345RO.

Any help would be much much appreciated! Sick with anxiety! Thanks.

It is almost certainly in the UK but hasn’t cleared customs yet.
