I send package via roymail everyday. I accumulate more and more questions I want to ask postmen or people who work for royal mail. I want to thank you in advance for reading my questions and try to help me.
since my questions are beyond different topic. so I am going to post those questions separately.
when you are sorting letters, how do you check if the letter is beyond the large letter require size?
some package I send barely meet the large letter require thickness. should I still send with large letter stamp? let me give you a more specific example to explain my question. I am sending 100 hair bands. when I lay flat the post bag and shake it a bit, all hair bands will lay evenly inside the bag, so it will go through the "large letter" section on "letter size guide" ruler at post office. but if I hold the post bag down, all the hair bands will stay at the bottom of the post bag. then the thickness of the bag will be larger than maximum thickness for large letter. will it be ok if I still send with large letter stamp?
some letter can not DROP through the large letter section on letter size guide, I have to PULL it through. is that means the letter is still too big for large letter?

You can always hold in place the hair bands inside the envelope using some sellotape and they will stay flat

I assume the hair bands are placed on a piece of paper/cardboard?
If yes, put a small bit of sellotape/sticky dots on that paper at both ends and stick them to the envelope, on the inside (place a bit of sellotape on your index finger and stick the further end, then the other end, then seal the envelope.
