Hello, I send a parcel to Portugal. As I am tracking it online, it says that is going to Luxembourg and will be delivered there. Bellow is the information showed on the website:

GLS is a Royal Mail subsidiary. It may have been sent to the Western Europe Hub for onward transmission to the national hubs etc.
I know there is one in Germany for Eastern Europe.
Therefore unless there is an issue with Customs (Safety, Security and Legal checks not tax) it shouldn't be a problem.
