and requested delivery for today. Stayed in all day, looking out the window every 5 minutes, but no delivery. the DO is closed now, and I don't know if I have to wait in all day tomorrow in case they deliver. Is this normal?

no, usually if somethings is to be redelivered its put out to be delivered on that day simple as that. Id give your local DO a call as early as you can tomorrow and see whats going on.
