International Track & Signed to Romania

Any help or advice gratefully received ...

I've sent a couple of letters through International Track & Sign to Romania. The last entry on the Royal Mail T&S update has the items as "ON ITS WAY TOGLS ROMANIA" a few days ago, with no further updates. Should I expect to get any further update or only until signature? And how long should I expect delivery to take (final deliver is to Bucharest .. and I assume the international delivery point is Bucharest...!)?

GLS is part of the Royal Mail Group

They do have their own tracking system https://gls-group.eu/EU/en/parcel-tracking" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; try that.

Just a heads up their main hub is in Germany so it will show up there first rather than in Romania.

Ahh! Thanks for the heads up. I did try the GLS website and it tells me "The parcel has entered the GLS system" and is in Germany!

But the Royal Mail Track and Sign has the following message, which is rather confusing ...

Date 04/03/16
Time AM
Status ON ITS WAY TOGLS ROMANIA
Track point ROMANIA

Do you have any idea how long it should take? It was sent from London on 2nd March and the guidance is up to 5 business days to eastern Europe.

Is it realistic to expect delivery tomorrow / Thursday? Here is the tracking number - RN250354063GB

I think delivery tomorrow is unlikely, hopefully though GLS Romania will expedite it for you and I am fairly confident that they should get it this week. (Fingers crossed)

Not through Royal Mail, a courier would be quicker but the cost would be exorbitant.

Sorry ... but one follow up. What happens if the person is not present to sign for the item. Do they leave a card (as in the UK) and the recipient has to collect from local Post Office of GLS depot?

Yes I believe they leave a card but not certain. However, looking at previous query's it looks like they reattempt delivery within a day or two.
