It took more than 3 days to reach HWDC from Edinburgh!

clearly it was posted after the LAT (latest acceptance time)
How much for this?, could it have gotten there any cheaper?

Im not sure how much of the Network works on a Sunday ( 6th) but maybe this could explain the time taken to get to HWDC

IIRC Royal Mail basically shuts down from Saturday lunchtime to Sunday lunchtime. The item above was posted on Friday night after the last collection has happened in 99% of offices, got collected and sorted on Saturday lunchtime and arrived at Heathrow on Monday night. Considering this was during the Christmas rush everything has gone very smoothly.

After 5pm so too late to be collected on 4 Dec.

Which is the only collection on a Saturday for most Post Office. (1st Working day)

15 minute turn round in a Mail Centre - that's fast. But as the system closes down from around 1800 on Saturday its not goinh to make it to London Heathrow till Monday

There it is arriving in 1 working day (though very nearly 2 days)
