Important information about Royal Mail deliveries and Mail Centre collections over Easter
Please note that we will not be performing deliveries or collections on Good Friday or Easter Monday unless of course you are based in Scotland where you will receive a normal service on Good Friday.
We have detailed below the services you can expect from us from Thursday 2 April to Tuesday 7 April. We hope this helps you plan your postings and keep in touch with your customers and suppliers.
Thursday 2 April : Normal service
Good Friday - 3 April : No deliveries or collections - England, Northern Ireland and Wales No deliveries or collections
Good Friday - 3 April : Normal service - Scotland
Saturday 4 April : Normal Saturday service-Any ad-hoc collections will need to be requested by noon on Thursday 2 April Easter Sunday 5 April : Closed
Easter Monday 6 April : No deliveries or collections
Tuesday 7 April : Normal service
Please note: Special Delivery Guaranteed items posted on Thursday 2 April, will not be guaranteed for delivery until Tuesday 7 April, unless the Guaranteed Saturday delivery service has been paid for or the items are due for delivery in Scotland.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Remember getting deliveries and having collections on Good Friday in the past. Seemed special getting letters on a Bank Holiday and surprised a few people seeing a postie out and about.

Its a curiosity in the UK where can have a house next to the Scottish border and see the Postie in Scotland going out and about and the English side nothing, reminds me of a road divided by the US Canadian border and you would have two different Posties delivering within speaking distance of each other.

Looking at the polls and the possibility of another coalition Government, its looking like that the SNP will be dominating the Labour party, Milliband is so weak that it wouldn't surprise me if Surgeon will get as much advantage off Labour including a second referendum, that could well be reality, 2 postmen speaking across an international border.
