While we were away on holiday, we got a 'Sorry we missed you card'. It said that a recorded delivery item had been delivered to our neighbour and he signed for it.
He was on holiday when we got back, but when he got back he said he didn't know anything about it.
The neighbour the other side also received some post for us (a parcel) but not the recorded delivery item.
I went to the delivery office with the card to ask what to do. Since there was no barcode on the card, they couldn't trace the receipt card with the signature on -- because I wanted to see who had actually signed for it. I also spoke to our postie who insists that if he said he delivered it to the neighbour, that 's what he did.
I have no reason to suspect that the neighbour would have stolen my mail.
I wasn't expecting anything but am now really worried that I've missed an important item of post and have no way of knowing who sent it or what it was. Any advice?!
