Posting to Jobcentre plus

Post by toaster »

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but wondered if anyone could tell my how jobcentre plus mail is delivered to the jobcentre plus branch you send it to.Some time last year when i sent a letter to Burnley and Bolton,jobcentre plus office,amongst others. The address was always Pittman way,preston,PR11 2AL.Now it seems to be a place in Wolverhampton that they go to.What happens when these places get the letter?are they opened at this point?Or do they send them on to the jobcentre branch the letters address to?Also,if i send a 1st class letter,how many days does it usually take to actually reach the office in question,by that i mean the benefit office,i.e. burnley or bolton.Thank you for any help.

Sorry but we can't tell you this as it comes under supplying information that may be of benefit to our competitors and can lead to dismissal.

Also even if that was not the case, its possible that each Job Centre handles their mail in a different way, and anyone who knew what the offices you are asking about would have to be local and would then run the risk of identifying themselves.

However, you may get an answer by asking the relevant Government department a request under the Freedom of Information Act.

The responsible Department is the DWP.

FOI requests can be made through this site https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/body/dwp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
