Implications on mail after the UK's exit from the EU

Track & Trace - Please come back Later?

Please could someone explain why the Recorded Mail service that I used 9 days ago is showing "Please come back Later" on the Royal Mail Track and Trace website?

The item that I sent was an Ebay sales (Large Letter) the customer received the package the following day. The problem is that because I am a new Ebay seller I have to wait approximately three weeks for the Paypal funds to be released, unless the Track and Trace is confirmed to have been delivered.

Surely the Track and Trace should have been updated by now?

Sorry can explain on a specific case, but did the receiver say what he signed on. Was it an electronic Pad or a Royal Mail paper form. If it was a paper form it may just be taking time for it to be scanned on to the system, or even that the paper form has got stuck somewhere.

Sorry can't help any more than that.

Depends how they signed for the item. If they signed for it ye olde style (on paper) then it can take a while as the cards are sent off and have to be scanned into the system. If they signed on a PDA, it could be a technical glitch.

You could try contacting RM on Twitter ( @RoyalMail ) to see if they perhaps have access to the signature as sometimes it appears on RM systems before the general website (I'm not saying it definitely will though before you get irritated when it isn't!).

And don't call me Shirley :wink:
