Right, a bit pissed off right now.
Wednesday I send a few packages at local post office, one of them being Special Delivery (small padded envelope, no more than 500g) to somewhere else within the UK. Everything's fine, pay the money, get the ticket, done.
Now it being Friday, the person who I've sent this package to still hasn't received it, and the tracking online says "Please come back later".
Called RM and they said there was an incomplete address on the package and it's being sent to the national sorting centre, I need to call Monday to give details for them to send it back...
The thing is, I know for a fact the address is correct because I take photos of all outgoing packages with their mailing labels, and this IS correct, I have sent to this address as recently as 2 weeks ago, without a problem.
The return address I've put on the package won't be of any use, as I'm moving over the weekend, and the building is going to be empty for god knows long. And what happens if/when I get the package back? Do I get a refund?
Have no idea how my post office/RM have cocked this up, but it has, so what's the protocol from this point on?

Re: Special Delivery - "Incomplete Address"
ok first thing to do is type the post code in here
http://www.royalmail.com/postcode-finder/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
is the address you sent to it exactly as it appears here?
you will only get a refund if it is found that rm are at fault and not you unfortunately

Re: Special Delivery - "Incomplete Address"
I'm not too bothered by the refund, I'm a bit bothered by the fact I've sent £300 worth of goods that might end up being destroyed.
