Post by HectorVD »

More than one week ago, my father sent me a box from Spain to London, they said that will take about 5 days and it was the 8th of April.I´ve been checking in the spanish mail website and they said that my box is already in UK in the langly hwdc office. I worried because i need that box before on saturday. The track number is RR530087525ES. Can somebody help me?? Thanks

Best guess is that the item is held up at customs, it's not unheard of for things to get stuck at HWDC for a month

Royal Mail do have a contact number, you can find it on their customer services pages on the official website (08457 740 740) or you can try RM customer services on Twitter which may be less frustrating than the phone system (@RoyalMail). However, given the MASSIVE amount of items that pass through HWDC on a daily basis, it's unlikely anyone is going to be able to go to a shelf, pick up your item and give it to you. Customer services COULD phone HWDC and ask but they'll just get told the same as you've already been told. Unfortunately, it's just a case of waiting for it to be released and then delivered- which may or may not be before Saturday. I appreciate this isn't the answer you're looking for, but imagine working at HWDC and being asked to find ONE specific parcel somewhere there... a) I doubt you'd be able to and b) You certainly wouldn't get paid to do it.

I have been waiting for 2 Parcels from india both stuck at HWDC langly on sent in January and the other sent in September , It shows on Indian tracking system that it reached langly HWDC and that all nothing after that contact Royalmail they asked me to call HMRC called them they have no clue and then UKBA tried them atlast they asked me to raise complain from india regarding the lost parcel............ advice by royalmail staff was please send it by couriers so that the parcel can be tracked I asked them then why do you provide service for registered post when you suggest me to use courier company ,,,,,,,, Anyways on of the advisors told me that most of the parcels are lost in HWDC langly at customes and today daily mail news says that they caught 6 people staff who were stealing things at airport which has cameras and how can they catch someone in depot ?

for moderators or anyone who can help the tracking number is RN004477379IN

Reference number: RN464554198IN

Date Time Status Track point
23/01/13 12:43 RECEIVED IN UK HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC

Is all it says. Not much else we can tell you I'm afraid. Sometimes they move on without a scan and get delivered but I'm assuming it hasn't been given your post on here.

The only thing you can do is put in a claim for a lost item with your postal operator and they will have to take it up with Royal Mail.

Items from India are not tracked within the UK, the next scan will be when delivery is attempted
