It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Republic of Ireland
Just to be clear you are in the Republic not the North an you sent in 2nd class.colin5555 wrote:Hi,

Well if AnPost are the same as Royal Mail then they don't offer a 2nd class International service so they would have returned it to sender with an "insufficient postage" notice.
If however you sent it normal international it, as Postman suggests, could be held up in the Christmas mail (although most places are clear now) or in Customs.

Re: Republic of Ireland
It depends, coming into NI, it just needs the standard Irish postage rate but moving over to the mainland the price goes up. Unless they've paid for a Zone2 price then it'll not get delivered.
