Hello,
I recently ordered something from Hungary to here and it was dispatched on the 5th.
Using 'magyar posta' or posta.hu I've been tracking the item's progress.
This is what I've got:
2012.12.06
08:36 Vásárosnamény 1 posta
Item information :
Küldemény felvéve / Item accepted
2012.12.07
01:16
Item information :
Indító kicserélő hivatalba beérkezett / Item in office of exchange
2012.12.07
01:16
Item information :
Célországba elküldve / Item sent abroad
2012.12.08
14:46 GBLALA(UNITED KINGDO
Item information :
Célországba megérkezett / Arrived in the destination country
So as you can see nothing for coming on 4 days.
But the most worrying part is that on parcelforce track is it tells me that their tracking numbers must be either 9, 12 or 13 characters with no spaces - even though my number ( RR226660085HU ) fits this criterion and on the royal mail's site it says 'please try again later' no info. is available etc.
Called royal mail today and they said try back tomorrow but also call parcel force, called parcel force and they said call back tomorrow and ring royal mail which I had already done.
So is my package just sitting around at the airport?
Any idea how I can find out any decent tracking information?
Sorry about this but it's a one of a kind item and if it's lost there's not much that can be done to replace it and I've ordered it to my university residence which I will be leaving only once it's arrived so I'd like to know when that would roughly be, hence the manic search for tracking info.
Thanks a lot
Chris

Your tracked items details
Reference number: RR226660085HU
Date Time Status Track point
08/12/12 15:46 RECEIVED IN UK HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
I can't remember of-hand if items from Hungary get treated as a special or as a recorded within the UK. In any case chances are that it's stuck in customs.

Re: Tracking issues
I concur with Spacephoenix... it's the in black hole that is HWDC. Could be there a few days, could be there for weeks until customs release it to RM for delivery
