Wrong post code on international delivery

Hi all,

I ordered a package from the US, carried by the USPS postal service. It arrived in the UK yesterday and was attempted to be delivered today. However the tracking shows 'incorrect address - scheduled for another delivery today.'

I've realised that I put the wrong postcode on it and only the first two digits are correct, (put SW2 xxx instead of SW6 xxx) the rest of the address however is all fine.

Will this still get to me OK or what should I do? It's USPS express mail international. I plan on ringing around tomorrow but would really appreciate some advice from any RM employees?

Don't panic.
Attempted delivery from SW2 Brixton Delivery Office today, all being well correct delivery from SW6 Fulham Delivery Office tomorrow.

If the rest of the address is ok you should get it, as it has the wrong postcode it has probably ended up in the wrong delivery office they will probably send it to the correct delivery office for delivery to you

Phew, that's a massive load off my mind! Its my business address the SW6 one and the shutter will be down tomorrow, will it be attempted again on Monday?

Yes if you are shut on saturday they will deliver it on monday

Yes, and if the regular postman knows the shutter will be down delivery probably won't be attempted till Monday.

Thanks very much for the replies, much appreciated! The package hasn't come with my normal batch of post today.

Shall I just hold tight? Or would it come separately to the usual letters that come considering it's tracked and also from the USA via USPS?

Sometimes such items can take a day or two longer, so try to be patient and good luck.
