Progressed Through Network?

Hello - I bought something on Ebay and was given the tracking number. It was posted on 6 June, and I'm getting the message "Item xxxxxxxxxxx was posted at 170 Church Stree N16 0JL on 06/06/12 and is being progressed through our network for delivery". What does that mean and how can I chase it? It can't take a week from London to Kent surely?

Means as it says. Recorded delivery is not a tracked service. Only a signature to record delivery.

I would be tempted to give it another couple of days then contact the seller to let them know it's not arrived.

Under DSR, it's up to the sender to prove that you've received the item, maybe a couple of days then raise an Item Not Received case. Well, better to message the sender first of course and see what they can suggest.

I think it might say that even for specials until they reach the DO.

@js246 try the tracking number here (http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) it gives more details then the "default" public track and trace and is open to everyone to use whether an employee of RM or not
