I bought some rare CD's on Ebay and the seller sent them Special Delivery due to their value. They were handed in to the Post Office 10:30 am Saturday . so well before the Office closed (at 12:30) and wel before the hour-before handin time Rm recommend.
The sender was told they;d arrive Monday. I can't see that happening. I'm guessing there was no collection on Saturday/ I have seen that happen before.
It does make a mockery of the "Next Working Day Guaranteed" though!
The only other possibility is a missed scan, but I;d have thought it would have been scanned at least once by now as it progressed through the mail system
There is of course no point in even trying to contact RM. They're useless even when you've heard the "current queue times are 140 minutes"

Most likely either the last collection had already taken place or probably more likely the van doing the collections reached capacity and returned to the DO or MC (wherever it takes its collections to).

So hopefully m item will be collected Monday. But it;s pretty poor considering it's Special Delivery. I've seen it happen before with Saturday handins though.

It's just been flagged as arriving today: there was no tracking between the post office handin (in Bath) and my local Mail Centre. So either it went direct, or a scan was missed.
