Sent a parcel via special delivery, when I dropped it off at the post office they said they couldn't scan it. But have given me a receipt with the address and post code, and instead she wrote the tracking number. For service instead of the printed label which I attached saying special delivery, the service says Cert of Posting Inland?. Ih have the email saying I paid for the service online at midnight and then dropped it off around 11am.
Am I safe?, as checking tracking it still mentions senders preparing item. Worried as the item is a return. The lady at the counter says once it hits the depot it be fine. First time this has ever happened.

If it was given to the PO today (11am), then try checking at about 10pm tonight.
Possibly because you had already selected a service and paid in advance by other means, the PO clerk wasn't able to process this item as if you queued up at the counter.
As it travels through the network the scanning should start to happen, so 10pm, 2am, 6am etc.

Appreciate it, does the receipt stating Cert of Posting Inland is valid if I need to make a claim, even though it doesn't show the service I paid for but has the same address and postcode from the label?
