Hi, I'm trying to work out how concerned to be about a letter with some rather vague threats in it. Not enough to concern the police but enough that I want to know if it's someone local or not. The letter is a regular stamp rather than printed postage and franked North & West Yorkshire with a date and time but there's also the code 2114002048 which I figure has a chance to be an identifier for the office that franked it.
Is that number actually related to location and if so can anyone tell me where?

Sounds like Leeds for West Yorkshire.
Each RM business customer that uses a frank machine, can be identified by the franking code.
But that's probably only for RM to know which business customer is which.

Sending threats in the mail is an offence. Royal Mail have a specialist section who can investigate and prosecute such things. So best to get in touch with Royal Mail.
