Northern Ireland MC is where they send all the items that have "problems". You are best contacting an official RM channel, or making a claim as this will help resolve any issues with the packet.

I would also consider contacting the sender to see if they can advise anything.

The online claim form states that, because the item was sent into the UK from an overseas postal provider, it is not eligible for a claim

I've tried a customer support number (03457 950 905) which just states "continuing to travel through our network".

If I were to turn up in person, at Tomb St, do you think it would be possible to speak to someone in person, or do they not accept direct enquiries of that nature?

Mail Centres don’t usually take callers unless they also have a local Delivery Office on site. Is that where your local DO is? Otherwise, not much point going there.

In terms of claims, you should be claiming from the seller, and the seller claims from DHL. What TBT was advising below was to make enquiries via Customer Services, which is slightly different to the claim process.

The sorting office at Tomb St, Belfast, isn't in my locality, but it is a major landmark in NI. I took the tracking code into my local post office yesterday afternoon, to see if they had any suggestions. They did confirm that "Northern Ireland MC" is Tomb St. Probably the most prominent RM building that I'm aware of over here; probably owes its location to its proximity to the old Belfast Harbour berths for the Heysham and Liverpool ferries.

Thanks for the clarification on exactly who to direct the claim towards. The vendor has replied to my initial email, so I now have a point of contact there and will continue to chase.

I think you will find tomb street is also a sorting office and is the main administrative arm of RM in northern ireland, Mallusk is a main hub as it is larger but they also do delivery too. I live here and know them both and your item could well be in tomb street.

Thanks for the responses.... Parcel is still stuck in limboland unfortunately.

As advised, I proposed raising a claim with the supplier on 22nd Sept, who say they have created a claim at DHL.

I followed up with the supplier on 4th October, but no response via email as yet.

I phoned DHL this morning. All they could say from the tracking number was that it was passing through a clearance process,
still with Royal Mail, & to wait 1-2 days and contact Royal Mail again. They had no information on any live claims relating to the tracking number.
