Some positive news for a change!
I sent a late Christmas present to my brother last Friday by SD 1pm.
I can see from the tracking that the postie really went the extra mile! Nobody was home to accept the parcel at 9.20am on Saturday morning, and so they came back twice the same morning and tried delivery again at 11am and 12.30. I hadn't even paid for the Saturday Guarantee!
They were clearly determined to make sure my gift got safely delivered. I'm really grateful for the extra effort. Is it worth popping a brief note to the DO (manager?) to say thanks?

Re: Postie going the extra mile
A brief note to the DO manager might have the DO manager thinking that if he's got time to do that he's got time to have a couple of extra streets added to his round.

Re: Postie going the extra mile
And I think I read on here a few years ago of someone who contacted the DO manager to say thanks for the postman signing for a Special Delivery when they were out and the postman got sacked.
Just remember their kind deed next December !
