I have a few special delivery by 1 parcels to post Wednesday morning and afternoon however I’m getting mixed information regarding what will be delivered and what won’t. I’m told that specials are still being sorted and delivered on strike days but the lady at the post office tells me if I post them Wednesday that because of strikes on Thursday and Friday a next day delivery by 1 won’t get to the customer until Monday!

Okay, the question is simple but the answer isn't.C2019 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2022, 23:45I have a few special delivery by 1 parcels to post Wednesday morning and afternoon however I’m getting mixed information regarding what will be delivered and what won’t. If posted the day before the strikes then the managers are instructed, if there are no posties able to deliver them, they should attempt to deliver as many as they can.
So if they are going through a busy office with a lot of strikers then it's likely not all of them will be delivered. My office for example probably gets 600 on an average day, but we only have 5 managers and they have to process, sort and deliver them.
But if its a small office, with not a lot of traffic then even if a lot of the staff are striking then they have a better chance of being delivered.
If the strike is over on Saturday then any leftovers from the previous 2 days should be prioritised.
I think what the PO lady is saying is that the earliest guaranteed day for delivery is Monday. However, there is a reasonable chance it could be delivered before then, just that's not 100% certain.
