Parcel redirected to Heathrow LC

Post by jamham90 »

Hi

I had a package sent via 1pm guarantee sent last Tuesday, that evening the tracker said we've got it (at Birmingham MC) and then nothing. A couple of days ago I noticed it said in transit but according to the tracker it's been sent to Heathrow LC. It should be going from Birmingham to Manchester. The strange thing is that this has happened before using the service last time it eventually turned up after a week.

Why do some packages get sent there? Is it an overflow issue?

The usual reason for items going to Heathrow when they are internal to the UK is if there is a question about whether the enclosed items are on a the Prohibited (banned) or Restricted (need specific paperwork) list.

Other reasons also include the parcel being damaged or/and the address being unreadable.

For all of the above, you are better off contacting Customer Services and describing the issue. They may need a description of the contents, and the sender's and receivers' addresses.
