No post for a month?

Post by Jaded91 »

This has never happened before. My household (5 of us here) haven't been receiving any mail for at least a month now. Two parcels sent via special delivery guaranteed weren't delivered - have been having a nightmare trying to get an explanation as to what has happened to them. That's been escalated to Postal Review. Then I realised, we havent been getting any mail full stop..

Postman is seen on a daily basis up and down our street, so it seems like it's just us. General response from all customer service advisors is "Oh, that's strange... I'm not sure why that's happening, here's a reference number". Anyone else? I feel like I'm going around in circles with no one knowing what the issue is. So incredibly frustrating :arrrghhh

Edited to add: already been into my local delivery office. Told there is nothing there for me or my address.. :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

Rather strange especially if the post is being delivered for the rest of the street.

Do you have tracking numbers for the Special Deliveries you say are missing? If so what does the tracking say?
If this was myself (even though you shouldn't have to do this and if you can bear the cost) I'd send myself a Signed For Letter
or even a Special Delivery Letter from a local post office to see what happens to it (making a note of the tracking numbers beforehand).

There's not a problem with your residence is there? Inaccessible due to building work, overgrown garden or other objects, post box/letter box missing or blocked, house of multi occupancy with multiple letter boxes, potential dog hazard? Is your address similar to another local road ie you're
Coronation Street and there's a Coronation Avenue nearby? Just suggestions but further investigation obviously required.

Maybe someone has set up a redirection from your address without your knowledge ?
The identity precautions are thorough but not foolproof.
Contact the delivery office manager and ask him/her to check on the frame.
Failing that, ask the postie - he/she will be aware of any redirection instruction on the frame.

Good luck.
