Should I be worried about parcel being delivered and signed at Mount Pleasant EC1 DO?

Post by plddp87 »

Hi,

I sent a passport renewal application to the Australian High Commission Passport office (address below) via the Royal Mail next day guaranteed tracked service at the beginning of August. But the tracking history suggests it was delivered and signed at Mount Pleasant EC1 DO. This is nearish to but not exactly at the address it was sent to:
Passport Office
Australian High Commission
Strand
LONDON WC2B 4LA
The receipt I got from the post office (Finsbury Park, Seven Sisters Road) shows the correct building name and postcode.

Should I be worried about the tracking saying it was delivered to Mount Pleasant DO rather than the address I sent it to? It is very hard to get through to the Aus Passport Office on the phone, so I thought I'd ask here.

Thanks for any advice!

it may be that the embassy has their mail processed at Mount Pleasant, indeed some of the embassies do this because of the volume of mail, so I don't think its anything to worry about. But if concerned I would speak to the embassy just to make sure.
