Mail to Russia

Post by OliverLondon »

After finding out that the post office accepts mail to Russia, I sent a book to a friend who lives there and needs cheering up at this dreadful time. In reality I don’t really expect that the small package will arrive at its destination, but I thought I’d try.

I’m simply curious to know how mail actually gets to Russia at this time. Do any forum members have any idea? Obviously there are no air services operating between the UK and Russia, and additionally mail doesn’t cross between some key land routes (for example Finland to Russia).

I know that the package is now at Langley HWDC. Where will it go next? To Poland and maybe on to Belarus? Nowhere? Back to me?

Thanks!

Mail to Russia is being treated as normal at the moment. As Russia call it a "Special Operation" rather than a War, it appears the normal channels are operating as usual:

End date: Ongoing
Incident: Service availability

Latest Update
We are still despatching postal items to Russia. We are continually monitoring the situation and will provide an update if there are any changes to our service moving forward.
