1st class signed for no deliveries

Post by C2019 »

I send my parcels 1st class signed for and 9/10 times they have arrived the day after or at most 2 days after.
I would say I have posted around 40 items using first class signed for and only 11 have arrived and this is a week after me posting. All the tracking says is “we’ve got it” and the location of the post office I’ve sent it from. The items inside are just prints. Obviously there is no confirmation or tracking until it’s delivered but the people I’ve sent them to have said they haven’t arrived as sometimes they just get handed over without a confirmation. They have been posted to all parts of the country as well and the nearest one to me is 4 miles away and even that hasn’t arrived. I wish I could send all my items with special delivery but customers don’t want to use it as it’s too expensive

Not to be rude but the question is pretty obvious. Why am I paying for a service that states it aims to deliver the day after or at the latest 2 days yet 7-9 days have passed and my parcels are nowhere to be found? It’s pretty shambolic to be honest

Sorry, but there isn’t a maximum time on first class or second class, regardless of whether you have added Signed For or not.

As to the rest of your post, not sure what you think an unofficial site can achieve? We can help with specifics, e.g. if you give us the tracking for an individual parcel we can interpret it. But if you want to make a non-specific complaint you need to speak to Royal Mail.

The reason the question was asked is that you appear to be complaining, nothing wrong with that, but we ARE NOT an official Royal Mail site so complaining here won't do anything unless you want guidance from people who work in the organisation.
