Hello,
I've sent a parcel via my local Post Office special delivery by 1pm next day on monday.
Today it is still showing this
Monday 13 December 2021
10:25
Sender preparing item
10:06
Accepted at Post Office
Ramshead Post Office [LS14 1BT]
Does this mean it is still with the Post office or the tracking system is not updating?
I'm a bit worried now as he asked me what I was sending I told him and now it's looking like its not moved from the post office.
What happens if the parcel is lost at this point who is responsible for the insurance royal mail or them?

Insurance: Royal Mail as its a service they provide.
Asked whats inside: They HAVE to do that as some things can't go by air and it's a legal requirement to ask.
The next scan should be at Leeds MC, but when they are busy they route them without scanning - this may have happened. But without a tracking number to see the latest tracking information its difficult to advise.
Also, the hint that they may have delayed it knowing what's inside, would be pointless as they have scanned acceptance so if it does go missing they will be the first port of call for any investigation.
There are some delays, but this will not affect your right to claim postage back even if it is delivered, that's part of the guarantee.

Yeah thanks it got there today at 9am.
It went from Leeds post office direct to Chelmsford MC updated last night about 1am.
So it seems special delivery items are running a day or so later than expected. They need to let the post offices know to let the public know when paying the special delivery prices that it might not get there "guaranteed" as stated by royal mail.

But as I said before the guarantee part means that you can claim all of the postage back.
