Is My Parcel Lost?

Post by Mad murph »

Hi, I have a parcel that is coming from the US to UK via USPS that according to USPS tracking was received at Heathrow on 19th July. LB411529165US
When you try to track it via RM it says that it unable to confirm that status of the item and to try again tomorrow.

I have read about parcels stuck in customs for a while and this has now been in the UK for over 4 weeks so is this a normal amount of time to be waiting or could it have gone missing?

Any guidance or info anyone could give me on this would be appreciated.

Thanks 👍🏻

USPS tracking has been a bit hit and miss since the COVID issue, indeed we have had some reports on here that sometimes items from last year were turning up recently.

So while 4 weeks is concerning, it's neither rare nor unusual at the moment. My best advice is to hang on a bit, but also check out the other USPS/American threads in the Customer section, you'll see USPS is not doing brilliantly at the moment.

Thank you for your reply.

Almost another 2 weeks later this parcel still hasn’t arrived, I appreciate the times we find ourselves in now but I don’t fancy hanging on indefinitely on the off chance that this parcel will finally turn up.
Is there nothing that can be done to find out it’s exact whereabouts, how much longer it has in the system etc.

Sorry if this comes across as abrupt, it’s not meant to, but I am just finding this incredibly frustrating that something I have ordered has been sat in Heathrow for 6 weeks and seemingly not moved and no idea of when it will.

Not its exact whereabouts as the scan only indicates where it was last scanned and not all items are scanned at every point.

To be frank, the only way to actually track it down is to contact USPS perhaps by Twitter or contact Customs directly.

Looking at all the tracking on https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/LB411529165US all of the scans have been by USPS, so I doubt its even entered Royal Mails hands yet.
