Hi,
I bought a first class stamp online. I was emailed a receipt with a big QR code in it and under that "print your label and stick it to your envelope" instructions. It didn't literally say, "the code above is your 'label'", it didn't say where the label was. So I figured that must be how stamps work now, that you need that qr code thing.
I later found a help guide and about 17 pages down it says you have to login to the royalmail website, look for a tiny link on the side that says 'download your label' and then you find a pdf with a label on it. At no point does it say any of this in the email.
So anyway, whats going to happen to my driver license application? It took me 4 months to get the DVLA to send me the right forms as I'm in some situation which is not serviced by their online system. They finally sent me the forms and I returned them only to get my picture sent back as it wasn't "recent passport style". I took it and the letter to the shop I had the photo done who had never heard such nonsense and gave me 10 shots for free all of which are in that envelope along with a new postal order and their forms. Now I find out that I didn't get the postage right.
Does anyone know what will likely happen to my application?
Thanks,
Danny

Normally it would be surcharged and the recipient would receive a surcharge card and would have the opportunity to pay but I would imagine DVLA don't do surcharges so chances are it will be returned to you unopened if you've included a return address or opened if the national returns centre has to root around inside to find somewhere to send it back to.
