Hi!
New here so sorry if I'm doing this wrong.
I have an opt out notice in place (definitely, as one postie accidentally put the notice through the door once), and when I had the same post lady I never got any leaflet junk mail.
However, recently I've been having a lot of new posties and they keep putting them through despite the notice. I've contacted Royal Mail but I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but I do find it frustrating that it's being ignored.
Is there anything I should be doing extra? I don't want to come across as arsey to anyone but I find it such a pointless and wasteful exercise.
Thank you!

Re: Opt out notice
I think the Door To Door opt out is valid for two years, might your opt out have expired?
If so you have to renew it.
It's no excuse, but most delivery offices have had to rely on 'cover' posties or agency staff
to actually get mail delivered due to covid, with rounds not going out on alternate days or worse.
Understandably a member of staff in this situation will be under pressure from
their manager to 'get the mail out' at all costs and ensuring that a D2D opt out is observed
might be lower down his/her priorities in this situation than it should be.
Apologies this is happening, but if it continues and really begins to annoy you, suggest you
get on to the official Royal Mail Help (if you haven't already done so) Twitter https://twitter.com/RoyalMailHelp and explain the situation,
you'll get a faster response on there.
